October 2025 marks a major milestone for Horndean Tyres as we celebrate our 45th anniversary.

In 1980 our founder, Ron Michie, identified that commercial vehicle fleets and operators of heavy plant machinery needed a better tyre service. With proven tyre expertise and one service vehicle, the business was established to offer the very best mobile tyre service.

The business expanded quickly providing customers with multi-brand tyre choice, friendly service and the best prices. Needing more staff and larger premises, we relocated to Horndean in 1987 – adding our retail drive-in centre and agricultural tyre service. Today we are proud to be the region’s leading independent tyre specialist.

Achieving 45 years in business requires a dedicated team of employees, a loyal following of great customers and the ability to adapt as the world around us evolves.
