Our recommendations are proven to keep your machinery operational and deliver the lowest lifetime tyre costs.

The best plant tyres for the job

Horndean Tyres have been dedicated to supplying the best choice of plant tyres, industrial tyres, agricultural tyres and port tyres since 1980.

Plant tyres and agricultural tyres feature aggressive tread patterns to give the grip required in their specific application. They operate in the most hostile environments for tyres, so are designed to be resistant to cuts and punctures. While port tyres and industrial tyres are designed with thicker rubber and less tread to reflect their weight carrying application over solid surfaces. However, all off the road (OTR) tyres are designed to be highly durable and feature excellent lateral stability to ensure they carry the heaviest loads of all the tyres we fit.

As multi-brand specialists, we offer the best choice of new tyre brands:

However, due to the wide range of heavy plant and agricultural equipment we work with, we choose to access tyre stocks from the regional warehouses of our supply chain. Purchasing to order ensures we fit the best tyres with the longest service life for each application.

You can trust Horndean Tyres to fit the plant tyres, industrial tyres, agricultural tyres and port tyres you need.

Mobile plant tyre service

Horndean Tyres operate a fully mobile tyre service for your plant, industrial, agricultural and port machinery. The tyres are also referred to as ‘off the highway’ tyres and ‘off the road’ tyres (OTR) as they are generally designed not to be used on public roads.

Our highly trained and experienced technicians come to you and work on your premises. Our specialist service vehicles are comprehensively equipped with the right tools for every job. Whilst our carefully defined work procedures and policies guarantee we perform our tyre services in the safest, most consistent and professional manner.

You can rely on Horndean Tyres to safely remove, refit and inflate tyres whatever the size and machinery.

Radial tyre or Bias tyre construction

Our in-depth tyre knowledge will give your machinery the best operational performance. We recommend the most appropriate tyre construction for your specific application. Bias plant tyres, also known as crossply tyres, provide a long service life, carry the more weight and offer excellent stability. While radial plant tyres have a higher ticket price, they generally offer better levels of operator comfort and benefit from lower fuel consumption due to reduced rolling resistance.
